Hi,

Greetings for the day!

I write this email in reference to a query related to BRMS.

There is one library which is taking a long time than usual, however there is nothing in the log where i could find the reason for it. Control group is running as batch under SBS-QCTL.

There is no change in number of objects, no change has been made from our end.Moreove there is no lock on the library.

Please advise, what would be the possible cause for this increase.

Thanks.

There is no change in number of objects, no change has been made from our end.Moreove there is no lock on the library. When the backup runs, there will be a difference in the joblog messages if it has started to take longer. One important difference is that the timestamps between joblog messages will show that one or more steps now takes longer than previously. The details, especially the from and to programs, from messages that take much longer to complete will say a lot about what a save is doing. Often, when number of objects hasn't changed, the big difference comes from authority changes. Those get saved with the objects. Resolving authorities back through users can take time. Tom
