LAN Security camera
I'm looking to installing LAN security cameras (IP accessible) at a customers site.
If the cameras had the following features it would be a plus:
E-mail/Page in the case of movement in a protected area.
Recording on movement.
Live Streaming video access from various desktops, both in the domain, and on the internet via password.
Weather proof and easy to hide.
I can look on-line and find plenty, what I really need is people’s experience with these, brands that are good and bad, value and support of the product and the like.

I would check out the AXIS line of cameras They have LAN, wireless, POE, etc.
To get some of the more advanced functions you describe, you may need a DVR.

Definitely check out Axis…Also look into Panasonic as well as the buyer’s guide and other resources here. When you do install the cameras, do everyone a favor and lock down the web interface on the camera(s). That’s one of the greatest vulnerabilities I find when I come across networked cameras.

The cameras are not as important as the DVR. The DVR needs to be programmable so this is the main piece of equipment you should research. It should have an RJ45 port, for internet connection, and an OS you can create the alarms on. Depending on how many cameras you want to monitor, you may need more than 1 DVR.
We install cameras in public places, with internet links that the local police can access, for live monitoring, so it is possible. As for the email alarms, we have not had to set that up so far, as the sites are monitored 24/7. Email alarms are a nice thought, but if you want that, then someone has to monitor the email account all the time or the alarms are worthless.
