 LAN encryption products
I have a bank that wants to encrypt their LAN traffic. Before we find out which network apps/dbs/components they want to encrypt, I would like the names of several network encryption products to look at.

Is it possible to support secure sockets on the client server connection?
That would preclude an intermediate technology, at least from a hardware standpoint, and thereby reduce some level of complexity.

Definitely think this one through. Data in transit is not necessarily where the risk is – especially given the overhead, expense, and administration involved.
