There is a decent visual change, though the value is subjective. I don’t see a {code} function for ‘Discuss’ yet. That would be a major loss.Addressing the big issues hasn’t become visible yet.Tom
well, I saw that there is the ability to edit the questions and titles.
I did miss the missing code button in the discuss section though. I agree that is VERY importatn
hmm, and the edit on your own discussion replies doesn’t seem to be working quite right.
For instance, I tried to correct my misspelling of important and clicking the edit just makes the whole paragraph disappear until I refresh the page.
We’re glad you like the new improvements to the website! I’m going to look into the different issues that all of you have brought up and see if we can find a solution.
I tried to correct my misspelling of important and clicking the edit…You found a way to ‘edit’ your own discussion posts? I get no “edit” action under discussions at all. (But maybe it only shows up at a certain time.)I did finally see a way to make ‘new paragraphs’, though. At least, I think I did. We’ll see when I click the ‘Add’ buttonI also see that the ability to resize discussion entry boxes is gone. That will make it more difficult to enter longer comments.Tom
…one of MY discussions a little box that says EDIT appears
Ah, another “only supports IE” functions. It works back to IE 6 at least. No ‘Edit’ for discussion items in FF 12. But as you said, it just makes it all disappear without an entry area showing up.
Hmmm… IE8 on WinXP does seem to do it. The input area is still unavailable to me though.
The joys of multi-browser support…
We’ve had projects that involved converting ‘thick client’ to browser-based. I’m not yet fully convinced that it’s always a wise choice. Each new release of browsers (or new browsers or same browsers on new Windows releases or new Java releases or new SPs or…) brings new challenges.
Back in the ‘Kudos’ column, thanks for bringing back the Recent Member Blogs Posts on the forum list pages. It took me a few days to realize because I’d gotten into the habit of ignoring that part of the pages. Nice to have it back. Tom
Is there a list of the improvements/changes applied with this “upgrade” ?

Hmmm… and ‘new paragraph’ didn’t work in my last comment. That needs fixing real quick.Tom

So much for the ‘new paragraph’ thought.Tom
Tom, when I move the cursor over one of MY discussions a little box that says EDIT appears

…one of MY discussions…
Not just one… apparently it has to be (a) one of your own, (b) the latest comment in the thread, and (c) viewed in IE.
I suppose other combinations are possible.
Tom
Well Tom, I get the EDIT to pop up on all of my discussions.
I am running IE8 on XP at this location
