A FUNCTION key F10 set up at the file level for a display file that looks like this ALTPAGEDWN(CF10). That functon is being used on several screens in the dispaly file for the roll down use. Hovever, I need to use the F10 key on another screen that does not need to use it for the rolldown. I put the code in the program and when F10 is pressed on the screen, the program does not recognize the f10 key selection. I am thinking the process will not let you use the F10 key for any other purpose ecxept to roll down.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

When we set the ALTPAGEDOWN keyword at file level, I believe we will not be able to use that function key for the other purposes under that Display file in any of the Record formats.
If you want to use the Function key for some other purposes in one Record format and for Page down purpose in some other Record format, Then You will need to define the Keyword at Record format level(or You will need to create another Display file, which is not a fairy choice).

Pradeep.

Since ALTPAGEDWN() is a file-level keyword, it applies to every format in the file. Worse, the ALTPAGEDWN() keyword doesn't allow conditioning indicators, so it can't be enabled/disabled by indicator. Best choice seems to be not to use F10 for a different purpose in the same DSPF. Use a different F-key. Tom
