The syntax for a normal join (equi-join) is similar to a non-equi-join where the criteria statement simply has an inequality vs. an equality. For example an equi-join usually looks like this:

select * from tablea
join tableb on tablea.key = tableb.key;

a non-equi-join looks like this:

select * from tablea
join tableb on tablea.key <> tableb.key; –or >, <, >=,<=

Be aware that non-equijoins have cartesian product like tendencies, so make sure the result set can be retrieved in a reasonable time.
