 jobq entries
Is there a limit to the number of jobs set to run in a jobq? I have a program that reads a file of LT 1500 rcds and there is the potential that all of those records could be submitted to run in batch. Thinking about the future, I suppose there could be close to 3000 one day.

Answer Wiki:
Hi Brenger No, I doubt there is a limit -- but if there is it's a few magnitudes over 3000. The subsystem this jobq is attached to has two entries that you should be concerned with 1. Operational attribmute .. Maximum jobs in subsystem . . . . . . : *NOMAX 2. JobQ entries Seq Job Max Nbr Queue Library Active 10 QBATCH QGPL 1 If these are both *nomax you could have alot of jobs attempting to run at one time. If the jobs are essentially doing the same thing - alot of contention for resourses. Phil
