Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

We use the job description attached to the scheduled job:
The SBMJOB command has INLLIBL as a parameter:

Command: SBMJOB CMD(call pgm(mylib/myprog))
JOB(myjob)
JOBD(QGPL/myjobd)
JOBQ(QGPL/QBATCH)
INLLIBL(*JOBD) – or whatever you want

Good Luck!
K

The Add Job Schedule Entry command has JOBD and USER parameters. The JOBD parameter defaults to the user and the USER defaults to the user adding the job schedule entry.

The job schedule entry will take its library list from the job's job description (the JOBD parameter) at execution time. It might be a good idea to have a specific job description created for scheduled jobs. One other thing, when you are viewing the scheduled job list and use option 10=Submit immediately the request is treated as a SBMJOB so it will use your current library list, by default.

Option 8 allows you to look at the last submission, if it exists. You can also use the wrkjob and dspjob commands to look at previous submissions, again if they still exist on the system. Hope this helps, Bill Poulin

If I want to keep the history of a job around, I change the job in the CL to LOG(4 0 *MSG) or LOG(4 0 *SECLVL) which will leaves the joblog spooled file after the job terminates and keeps the jobs on the system for a while. There are other system settings that may affect how long your history is preserved, though.
