 JDK 6 Update 14 Installation Issues
Java Install, JDK, JDK 6, JDK 6 Update 14, Windows XP Pro
I am experiencing quite a bit of trouble with JDK 6 Update 14. This is a nonbundled package, and it gets to about 40% and then stops, freezes, or rolls back. I have had previous versions installed without trouble. This XP Pro machine is well suited to handle such an installation, and I closed all programs. Are there any known issues with this installation? Thanks in advance. -Schmidtw

I don’t know if there are known issues, but I installed it on a win xp pro sp3 machine a few days ago, without any problem.

Have you tried re-downloading the files ?

Perhaps it was just a bad download, or what not. I attempted to install using a bundle from Sun again, this also failed. I deleted all traces, updated java, and then downloaded the JDK, and now it works.
