Calculating drive volumes and data usage on servers
Ok i'm a newbie.  I need to calculate drive volumes and data usage on about 75 Sun and HP servers to obtain planning data for a complete update and conversion to NetBackup for all servers.

How can I calculate Total Disk Space and Disk Space used without having to add separate directories for every directory on every server.

I just need the Disk Space total and total of space utilized for each server.  df -k is NOT the answer I'm looking for.

Answer Wiki:
How often do you restart the servers? We use a method where the servers are rebooted after a backup at 02:00 every day. On reboot, a program called BGINFO, is used to send information about each server to a .mdb file, so we can then compare overall usage, based on a specific time, for all servers. You can select the info you need from a menu when it is first used/installed.
