IT Strategies Info Center: Compliance

Compliance, Laws, Regulations, standards, California Security Breach Information Act, Can Spam Act, Do Not Call Lists, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Hipaa, ISO 17799, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, USA Patriot Act

Hey everyone,

I'm an assistant editor for SearchDataCenter, and was curious what our users think of the Info Center we have on compliance. Has anybody checked it out? Is it useful? Any suggestions? Are there any topics you'd like to see more coverage on?

If you haven't seen it, here's a link:

Thanks, and as always your feedback is greatly appreciated!! :)

It seem to be fairly well. Moderate depth on the big US regs (SOX, HIPAA,...). I didn't see much on other regs like FISMA, US DoD and non-US. My current assignment is deep into the "other" - military and non-US. I work for the largest contractor, and a great majority of our revenues would be derived from one or more of those others. Even for more typical corporations, there would be a significant interest in things like EU regs (e.g. data protection and privacy). A part of this would also go to ISO compliance. This is my opening rant; I'll do some deeper research of your site to form a real assessment against the above opinions/goals ;-)

Informationally it is great; however, I think that you should include some information about automized compliance solutions. Comparisons between automated software would be great because a lot of buisness are moving in this direction since it seems cheaper and more efficent. My company has been ysing Ecora’s Enterprise Auditor for our network compliance and it has been a life saver to our network admins. and IT department as a whole.
