Would it be possible to ITKE to create a respository for developers to send code. Many times when I answer questions, I have a tool that would help the person asking the question. Most time there is to much to put in the answer so I just have people send me an email to get the programs or other documentation. Then it seems for the next month or so, I get the same request from others, so I keep sending it out. If I could load it on to your system and then just identify a link in my respnoses, it wouldf be less work for me and much more beneficial to the users of ITKE.

I think that this is an excellent idea. The only addition I would make to this request would be to be to add the code site to the archive search.

Note that code “repository sites” have been freely available for quite a while. Example — pastebin. Different site, true. But it also has some handy attributes that might be difficult to enable here. A link is a link, after all. No?

Then again, pastebin may be available to anyone — the source code is (supposedly) available under GPL license.

I agree. Great idea. No sense reinventing the wheel if a fellow programmer has figured out a low/no cost solution to some of the code problems that plague us in our development.

We will look into this and see how feasible it is to integrate into the site. Sounds like a good idea
