In a recent study by Longitude Research, CFO survey respondents noted that their top priorities over the next three years are IT Infrastructure, analytics/business intelligence and cloud computing. While both analytics and the cloud saw a sharp rise in percentage over a similar survey performed last year, from 32% to 37% and from 15% to 22% respectively; IT infrastructure fell, from 45% to 38%. Do you think this is the beginning of a long-term trend or simply bandwagon jumping to the latest in hot topics?

Bandwagon for sure. I know it's overrated but I recommend focusing on the IT infrastructure - namely fixing the ripe old security flaws that people are currently helping themselves to: http://www.securityinfowatch.com/article/10517908/get-with-it-fix-your-low-hanging-fruit ...then you can focus on the latest trends - and move forward knowing that you're taking reasonable steps to minimize information risks.
