Which is better to get certification on? CCNA or ITIL? I am a bit confused on what to select. can you please let me know the prospectives and chances of getting a successful career if I select the best of them? Or are both entirely different with just Networking as a common platform?

ccna = network which if you can know will be good especially if you work in a big organization

itil = process flow that is used in data center.

Along the lines of what Jinteik was saying, the CCNA is more or less Networking specific - and the basis of other certs (CCNA Specialties, CCNP and Specialties, etc) ITIL is more of a process-oriented cert. Getting both would be ideal, but if you have to choose one, go CCNA and expand from there...

It depends what kind of career you're looking for. CCNA will lead you into a networking career, and ITIL will lead you more into a helpdesk/support lead or even project management career. Both of them have their pros and cons.I've written an article on what you can do after the CCNA as well if you're interested.
