Q:
IT Assets Managements
[strong] [strong]I work in a company where they grow IT assets like seeds! And it becomes difficult for me and my colleagues to track down the assets manually where it becomes really boring stuff, e.g.  I am talking about around 200 IT units in one dept.[/strong][o:p][/o:p]

[strong]May i get an advice where to find or what is the best solution to manage the assets?[/strong]

Hey dear. There are alot of cool tools are available to track the inventory. Apart from that you can use SMS 2003 or SCCM 2007.
Thanks
Good Luck

You need to define IT assets better. Are you wanting to manage equipment (computers, switches, routers) or software applications and licensing? There are challenges with each and there are a lot of vendors out there that specialize in these activities.

Troy Hi,
well. its almost about all but we can exclude routers, switches and riverbeds….
but do you mean that we don’t have one easy and wide spread assets monitoring soluotion so i can say OK i will advice it to my team.

Thx
