Issues with Group Policies and/or Exchange 2003 SP2
Windows 2008 Domain Controller and Exchange 2003, Exchange 2003 Enterprise Edition, Group Policy, Exchange 2003, Windows Server 2008 Domain Controller
We are planning our Migration from a Windows 2003 Domain to Windows 2008 Domain and want to know if there will be any issues with our Group Policies currently in place and any issues with our current Exchange 2003 ENT SP 2 environment after the migration is completed. We do not plan to do anything with Exchange at this time. It is running on Windows 2003 ENT SP2 and will remain on that server. I cannot find anything after numerous searches indicating there are any problems, but want to hear from anyone that might have experienced anything and what was done to correct it.

Your group policies will migrate with no issues, and exchange 2003 will continue to function.

Is it the same if we go to Windows 2008 R2? I apologize for not being specific.

No apology required. R2 will be the same. Just make sure you prep the forest and domain first.
