Need more Info. Trying to renew what? Also maybe (just taking a stab) the View index is corrupt that maybe why it only shows in one place not the other. Do a CTRL + SHIFT+ F9. See what happens. Also open the e-mail you see in All Docs View. Put it in the edit mode add a space then delete it and save it. See where it shows up now i.e. meaning which Views? I hope this helps.

If email is not appearing in the Inbox, then the problem is most likely occurring because of a corrupt view index. If this is the case, then running updall -r on the mail file may resolve the issue.
What does mean “renew his sent email “, what does he do to achieve that ?
@tdoughboy : we have Expired Document folder in our notes client wherein all 6months old emails will directly go to this folder. In order for us to access those emails, we need to click the Renew button on it then it will directly goes to our Inbox, Sent folders..However, when one of our client did this, the sent mails (around Aug 2010) goes directly to All Documents not in sent folder. The weird thing is, it only applies to his Aug 2010 mails other than that it all went to the proper folder. I have tried running the mailfile maintenance on both local and server side. I also deleted the sent view in designer and replace the design of his mailfile but still problem persist.
This is likely to be an isseu with the view SENT and the Folder that the AUG mail thinks is the SENT View.
Your best bet would be to find the sent mail that is not in the SENT view under all documents and move them there. As this is not all RENEW documents you may not spend to long on it.
