 ISeries Remote Operations
My company is going to move our iSeries to another location. I must be able to manage the system remotely and be able to deal with the iSeries in a restricted state. It is envisioned that I will do this across our WAN/LAN. I am looking IBM's Operatons Console and the Twin Data options. What options exsit and which is seen as being the most reliable method to conduct 90% plus of the system management task in this environment. Thank you, Steve Hamilton

Answer Wiki:
Easily done. Direct connect a PC to your iSeries, load operations console on it and then pcanywhere or VNC into the PC in which you can bring up the console since the connection will run in QCTL. I have it up and running in another state as we speak and in the last 5 years we have had absolutely no problem connecting. I opted not to twinax right from the very start.
