We were printing 3x8 notices (continuous forms) on IBM 6262 printer. After upgrading to laser HP printers, the 3x8 notices print one to a page. The software vendor has offered no help citing that a program change was not warranted. How can I make these print 3 UP. I have tried changing the spool file attributes (MULTIUP) to 3 UP and also tried the FORMFEED to *CUT, *CONT, *CONT1, *AUTOCUT. I need help!
Software/Hardware used:
iSeries v5r4 9406 520 and HP9000 printer. Also HP4000 series printers

Check all the attributes of the Device description for both printers and compare them.
You need to have the HP just think it is an IBM
The IBM 6262 printer is a band printer for continuous forms. The HP laser printer uses cut sheet forms. You can’t really compare the two device descriptions.
Have you tried Workstation Customization Object? You may be able to find the 3 up printing there. You should be able to find the necessary information in the Printing Reference Manual.
