We are using Windows 7 Pro now and the drives mapped thru the iSeries Navigator have files on them that are very slow to open. Is there a change I need to make to Windows 7 so these files open quicker.

There are numerous differences in Windows 7 from previous Windows. IBM lists various performance adjustments you might try in their Windows 7 and IBM i NetServer document.

For general information in the future, you should know that this has no connection to iSeries "Navigator" except that Navigator provides one interface to access setup of shares through NetServer. If you are opening files directly in Navigator (rather than Windows Explorer or a PC app), it doesn't use mapped drives. Actual Navigator performance would be a separate issue.
