Hi All, I'm currently using the Mocha for iseries access and not satisfied with that, could you please suggest the web links for free download of iseries emulator.

Mocha is probably as good as it gets… for free.

If it’s not enough, there is tn5250 and also TN5250j, both open source projects so you can add whatever you want.

None of these are i-series emulators. There are no i-series emulators. These prov ide a session screen that allows you to sign onto the i-series and do stuff on the i-series.

Yes, vt100 emulation over telnet will work, but function keys will be awkward at best. Better to use a 5250 emulation, I prefer Reflection’s.

Yes, that’s how Windows telnet usually connects. iSeries also can accept 3270 connections, though function keys can require similar.remapping as with VT100 (or VT220).
