iSeries 525
Hi, Whilst trying to connect iSeries through 5250 i recieve the following error CWBCO1049 - The iSeries server application is not started. However when i try connecting through Console from the server am able to connect as normal. We have v5r3 and have recently applied 8267 CUM PTF's, but was able to connect after applyiing, until this issue. Please could someone let me know as i have checked all the TCP connections and ETHERNET lines appear fine as well.

Or did you also try STRHOSTSVR *ALL This starts the host services like signon, etc. If this is not running you will not be able to log into green screen except for the console. Lovemyi

First step: PING BOTH WAYS * Ping from PC to iSeries * Ping from iSeries to PC All this does is verify that TCP/IP is connected from iSeries to PC. Second Step: Run CWBPING in a DOS window.
