Client Access 6.0
I have a pc with windows 7 enterprise, 64 bit os. I am using Client Access, version 6.0. Everything seems to work with the exception of F21 with a source member and wrkqry. I have googled and cannot find any solutions. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you using v9 or greater of Snag-it?  (I may be off on the version level)

If so, customize the function keys in Snag-it.  They added a couple of new ones that capture video. What seems to be happening is that Snag-it captures the F21 key and thinks you want to start a Snag-it video recording.  Change the key combo to something that you are not likely to need (or to nothing if you don’t want record video that way).

At least at a past employer we found the issue w/ Snag-it. There may be other tools that do something similar with to capture the key instead of letting your emulator have it.

Took us about 2 years to figure that one out. We asked IBM they had no clue and nearly a year later they called and indicated that they found it had something to do with snag-it but were not sure exactly what. But then I has something that I could work from and we started to piece the puzzle together and determined it was only users w/ newer rollouts that had the newer version of Snag-it.  HTH.

    We need more information.
When you say it is not working, what happens?
    Are you getting errors?

There is no error message. Actually "nothing" happens. It doesn't even identify the function key as invalid. If I press F06; I get invalid function key.

Just to clarify, you are using CA to get a 5250 screen. Correct?

Your initial question stated F21 and wrkqry.
    Your response specifies F06.

Did you just load CA, or were you using it and something changed?

    Check your client access

    Setup

    Keyboard

It should map shift F9 to F21

Yes, the keyboard shows F9 shift = PF21. so I added F9 Control = PF21 and it works. Using Ctrl F9 reacts the way Shift F9 should act. So ... until I can get Shift F9 working correctly, I will use Ctrl F9.

Do you still have an issue with wrkqry?

    Ctrl F9 works for F21.

Seems so strange to me because I have shift F9 and ctrl F9 both mapped to PF21 and only ctrl F9 works. Just odd. Thanks for all you help. This seems so minor and ridiculous. I must just be me. The other guys here are not experiencing my problem and the only difference is that I have a 64 bit os and they are on 32 bit os.

Thank you so very much. I was able today to change the results of F21 in Snag-It. Finally... now Client Access works and Snag-It works correctly.
