Is it possible to access IFS resources from a Windows XP PC that is in an Active Directory domain without having the Windows password and the as400 password beibg the same? Currently, if you try to access a resource like a mapped drive to the IFS and the passwords are differnet you get a pop up asking for a username and password. If I enter the as400 username and password it is not accepted. If the Windows password and as400 passwords are the same it opens without any further authentication needed. Is there something I have to do to allow this? Or is there a certain syntax that has to used for the username? Any help would be much appreciated.Thank You.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Look into using EIM (enterprise identity mapping) and Kerberos, this will allow you to authenticate your windows user ID’s to the i5 and it will all be encrypted.
