 iseries Access for Windows version 5.7; Print Screen Problem
iseries access print screen, iseries access v5.7, iseries print screen
Print screen function not working...only prints dots where characters should be. Printer is an HP 8500A. Uninstalled printer from pc and reloaded. Have checked and double checked Printer Setup and Page Setup in Access and all lokks okay but no change. Have setup printer as using Widows Default Printer and also using PDT. When using PDT printer thinks it's printing but no print out and have to reset printer. Any ideas?

Can you explain what you mean by “using PDT”? According to Information on Printers from HP, a PDT is “n/a” for the HP 8500A.

I assume you mean that you’re using the Workstation Program 5.7, perhaps from iSeries Access V5R3, since there is no “iseries Access for Windows version 5.7″. The Personal Communications component has its own internal version that is separate from the iSeries Access version. Use the iSeries Access Properties menu item from your Start-> Programs menu to determine your iSeries Access version.

When you check your iSeries Access version, you should also check the Service level’ from the Properties panel.
