iSeries Access disconnecting on Vista
I work in an environment where most folks use iSeries Access and have no problems. However, my session gets disconnected after only a few minutes of inactivity. Another user also gets disconnected although he has told me that it even disconnected while he was using the session. His PC operating system is Windows XP Media Center, mine is Vista Home Premium. Neither of us had connectivity problems until we moved to this location, which is on a different IP subnet. Again, we are the only ones (out of about 25 users) that have this problem. Have you experienced problems with Windows Media Center or Vista Home Premium with iSeries Access

Answer Wiki:
I would look at cabling and switch port issues. See if there are errors on the physical connections. The OS should not really matter. Be sure to apply latest Windows patches to your machines also. Is it possible that your Client Access patch level is different from these other users? You can download and install the newest patch and test.
