Yes create a CL that Ends Most Subsystems - QINTER, QBATCH, QSYSWRK, QUSRWRK and QSPL. ENDMSF and ENDTCP. MONMSG CPF0000 to catch errors. Put a DLYTIM after the ending of a minute o\r two then, Last command in CL
PWRDWNSYS *IMMED RESTART(*YES).
Submit through Job Scheduler in the QCTL Subsystem.

Problem with this is if System Hangs you will have to go to Location to Troubleshoot. I have done this for years prior to HMC. And only had System Hang once. If you know IPL take about 45 MInutes say, check your system by telneting into System if you can then reboot was good if you can't you may have to go in.....Rick

You can also use the Power Menu to schedule IPL's.
A lot less involved.

Just schedule the Reboot through the Power menu.
