Is there a free ready to use customer support software along with community collaboration?
I am, head of the IT department of a non-profit organization with around 75 employees. Our services are growing rapidly and we are in need of a customer support software which would not need customization to suit our needs. The reason being we don't wish to hire analysts or buy servers. As we are in the non profit industry, preferable would be free software. Any suggestion?

With a quick Google search I was able to find a couple of things which might meet your requirements. Trouble Ticket Express - http://www.troubleticketexpress.com/ QuickIntranet - http://www.quickintranet.com/ Audit My Pc - http://www.auditmypc.com/help-desk-software.asp Universal FAQ Manager - http://www.universalfaqmanager.com/ For all of these you will need some sort of computer to act as the server for the system.

Hi Eva,

Feel free to visit the Ask the Expert section on SearchCRM.com to get free advice from our experts. Paul Greenberg, our expert on evaluating CRM software, might have some suggestions for customer support software if you can provide him with a list of your business requirements.

If you are looking for customer services best practices, our site has a number of other resources, including a tip series on customer service excellence, a comprehensive learning guide for call center managers, and a topic section devoted to using call center or customer service software.

Let me know if there is anything else you are looking for and I will try to get it.

Best,

Eva,

It probably will be hard to find any CRM that will not require any customization at all. but, some of them should be easy enough to customize that someone in-house can do it for you instead of hiring out.

Is this going to be used internally, (as in the “customers” are your internal departments), or externally where your customers are actual customers of the business?
