Is there a way to move from a digital PRI to an analog punch down?
I currently have a digital PRI (Nortel BCM450) and my old hardware recording devices no longer work as they require the analog punchdown block. Or I could look at a way to digitally record the data streams from all 30 lines into a software based recording system if anyone knows of a solution?

Software/Hardware used:
currently nothing... had a Dictaphone hardware device recording analog streams

Answer Wiki:
The Nortel (now Avaya) BCM450 supports call recording internally, as long as you are running version 5.0 software. You will need at least one seat (license) of a "Professional Call Recording" keycode before you can set it up. Once you have that you can either: - record a call manually, or - record calls automatically that match certain criteria (i.e. all inbound calls, just one line, certain times of day . . .) This is explained on page 157 of the current BCM450 5.0 manual. Find it at: http://support.avaya.com and search for 5.0 Professional Call Reporting. Third party options are available too.
