Anyone heard if the efforts to recreate a WRKDBF utility have borne fruit yet?

Once again I find myself needing a general purpose file view utility, and hover on the brink of writing something, for I saw somewhere that a new one was being put together.

WRKDBF is in fact available, and has been since 2009. Go to the http://www.WRKDBF.com website for more information. Bill PS: disclosure - I am the Author!

Bill, most people are not going to pay $449 for a piece of software that does nothing more than edit files. You wrote a great piece of software, but then you killed it with your own greed. I can understand the need to profit on your work, but $449 for a single license? Really.

Really. It's easy to understand a person not wanting to shell out $449. I wouldn't want to. But it's not really an individual purchase -- it's a business purchase for use by an entire site. A single 'undelete' could potentially pay for the cost for a business. You could download it and keep the download file for when(if) an emergency arises. At essentially no cost, you get yourself out of a jam the first time you actually install and run. The business cost for a license might then become justified. If it's never needed, then it never costs. Tom

    >>a piece of software that does nothing more than edit files. What! You'd rather use DFU and the shades of Query tools. !!! Sheesh.. This is one of the best all purpose tools for developers. Great job Bill, and if its a a commercial product, then I hope it pays for your retirement. .

There is an alternative for WRKDBF on my website. Has some differences, principal one to work with only SQL (no tricks in coding)  on physical as well as on logical files with any SQL selection. Supports Date fields and Null fields.
