Is synchronous replication possible between EMC DMX4 and EMC CLARiiON CX3-80?

I would like to know whether synchronous replication is possible between EMC DMX4 and EMC Clariion Cx3-80 storage systems. I understand MirrorView software replicates only between two Clariion CX models and SAN Copy configured on the Clariion CX3-80 could only do asynchronous replication, but does not provide the complete end-to-end protection.

There isn't any way to use the in-array MirrorView/Synchronous or SRDF/Synchronous between Sym and Clariion. To accomplish this you would need to use some sort of host based or SAN based solution instead.

You might consider using open replicator.
