Is Powershell alone enough for managing Active Directory?
I am a Senior Active Directory/ Messaging engineer working for IBM. In the past I never had to learn scripting, but with Exchange 2007 and new Windows 2008, it is becoming necessary for people like me to learn the scripting language. My question is, do I have to learn both Poweshell and VB script to manage Active Directory and other administrative work, or is only Poweshell enough? I appreciate your feedback on this so that I can start learning scripting Language.

Check out this Powergui resource from Quest. It is a great means of learning Powershell scripting. I would not bother with VB if you do not already know it. Powershell is better than VB in my opinion for almost all tasks but certainly for AD. Check out the Quest AD cmdlets as well. They work great and make managing AD a breese with Powershell.
