Is it possible to setup wifi on a 3rd Nic in win 2k3?
We have 1 domain with 30 client computers setup to it. We would like to offer public wifi from the same internet connection with a 3rd NIC card but we are unsure on how to set it up. Also we don't want public computers to access network resources. Our setup is Cable modem to server >>> server (win 2k3 isa 2004) to a switch.

Check here: http://www.smoothwall.org/ This program installs on an older PC (A Pent II will work fine) It allows you to create "zones" in your network. You can use one zone to give users internet acces, but keep them, out of your other computers. You will need one NIC for each "zone" The software makes setting up the NICS easy. I have it set up at a library to allow visitors wireless Internet access, whille keeping the library computers and other netwotk resources seperate. The Smooth wall computer will replace your router and can act as a DHCP server as well. And its FREE!!!
