Is it possible for the monitor jobs to start automatically after ipl. We need to manually start the monitor jobs after every IPL.

We have setup few monitor jobs under iseries navigator.

You could create a new start up program that would include your customization. Once the program is created just add this as a system value to QSTRUPPGM. Be sure to check IBM’s original program after any upgrades to ensure you have any changes added to your customized start up program.

In iNav, right click on Management Central.
Click on Properties
Click on the Connection tab
Check the box to “Automatically restart monitors on failed systems”

We schedule a Full Save every night and this works without fail when the system restarts.
