I have a master password set up on Firefox that is 30 characters long. I'm afraid this is not a very secure set-up. Can someone alleviate my fears or let me know if I should change this ASAP?

Anything's possible when you store critical passwords in areas potentially accessible by criminal hackers and malware. It's likely not a problem as long as you have additional controls such as a strong password on the computer, good anti-malware protection, and an encrypted hard drive in the event of loss or theft.

It's not clear what your concern is. Are you concerned that a 30-char Master Password isn't complex enough? Are you concerned that the values that are encrypted under the Master Password can be decrypted too easily? ArePassword can be easily discovered?

In general, using a 30-char Master Password in a reasonably current release of Firefox will be more secure than you're ever going to need. (Unless you have it written on a note slipped under your keyboard.)

But it all depends on what you are concerned about.

    ArePassword can be easily discovered?

Should be: Are you concerned that the Master Password can be easily discovered?

(Not sure what happened to the rest of that line. And an 'Edit' feature is still needed for comments.)
