I am CCNA certified and now I get an offer related to the job of technical support. In this job I have to solve problems related to only Operating system & computer hardware issues through voice. It does not involve any networking related work. So is that kind of job will give me that experience which is helpful after CCNA and help me to make my carrier in computer networking. Kindly HELP ME.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Even in positions where support for Cisco Enterprise and Small Business devices was the main focus, knowledge of how to operate withing a users OS – Linux, Windows, Apple – is always great experience to have.

Also, it’s easier to find a better job if you already HAVE a job – its shows reliability, responsibility and all that. Best recommendation: Keep working, but apply for maybe your companies IT department, or search in your area for folks needing a CCNA-level tech.

Hang in there, put yourself out there, and the right opportunity will find you…

IT companies will not prefer your this kind of experience when u will go for CCNA coz its basically non-practical work But dont mind keep it up unless u will get any relevant jobs Coz it happens in IT industry nothing new in this

CCNA is more towards hands on into network. So maybe finding jobs with network or vendor will actually allow you to practice your knowledge and after a while you can continue your cisco certification till CCIE..

I disagree w/ Yogender - Working in a fast-paced, high-strees, customer-oriented position is great training for anyone. Should he find a position where he can use his CCNA? Absolutely. Just keep in mind its easier to find a better position while you are employed..
