Is a Dell D620 compatible with an SSD?
One of our users is interested in upgrading their laptop drive to a SSD. He currently has the following laptop: Dell D620 (vanilla flavour) He would like to upgrade his drive to the following SSD: Intel X25-M 80GB SSD purchase Does anyone know if this is compatible? I called Dell Support, but they didn't seem entirely sure if it could be done or not. They said it would work fine with a D630, but didn't have any info on the D620 (which is strange). Thanks, Lordhowe

Answer Wiki:
I have seen people who have installed it and have had no problems on some forums so i dont think you will have an issue. What Bios version are you running?

Did this work for you?

I’m interested in this. I’m trying to upgrade an old d620 and wondered if you had to update the BIOS? I’m on version A07 and thinking of updating to latest (A07).

Would like to hear of any issues you came across and maybe solved.
