Well, I’m supprised you’re not using DHCP for address allocations. If you were using DHCP the computers would just get all the information they need automatically.
The use of a 29bit address is key here. However you will still have available addresses on a 29bit address if you currently only have 6 computers connected.
If i were you I would check with your central computer services as which address pool they would want to use rather than go against a company policy.
