ipconfig returns nothing in cmd
I've been having latency issues with my ISP. Last month I assigned Google DNS servers. The next day no connection could be made and no result for ipconfig in cmd. I was able to restore my computer to an earlier date and viola, everything was ok. I've been experiencing morelatency issues and decided last night to attempt a similar DNS assignment - this tme to my ISP's DNS servers (some known proxy issue with AT&T's 2wire router that this is supposed to work around.) Today I have no connectivity as before but cannot restore to earlier date - says no changes have been made... WinXP Any ideas?

latency can be caused by many things including the most likely cause which would either a local firewall/AV scanner checking every packet or a bad cable or port on the network causing mini broadcast storms.
What latency are we talking about? 90m/s? 300 m/s?
Also try using comodo's DNS servers. I'm currently using them so I know they work. If these still fail I would stick the ISP's default settings.
Almost forgot. The biggest cause of latency is other people on the network. Make sure you are the only one on th network and that your PC is the only device active and see if you still get the issues.
