How do you know those states? I have not looked to see myself but it could be the way things get routed to offset heavy traffic.

I don't know, but you are certainly right to ask. I'd love to know why!

I use Yahoo Internet Explorer. When you go into your account you can check your recent sign-ins. I live in Texas. My logins are all from CA. NY. and Wash. As a result I'm constantly receiving text messages from Yahoo, Facebook, and other web sites asking me if this was me that signed in. I.ve been hacked in Yahoo Mail. I changed my password but have had trouble every sense. I been with Yahoo 25 years. I'm trying to work into Outlook. Help in this matter would be appreciated.

Sound like you may have a key logger or a BOT on your PC. What are you using for anti-virus software? When was it last updated and did a full scan of your PC ?  Make sure your PC is clean then try changing your passwords and see if you are still having the same issue.

You have had your account hacked.  Something has happened to me 4 times.  Twice while I was editing my account, I watched as a hacker started changing my settings.  Due to Yahoo's 1990's password policy, the accounts are easy to hack with a normal length password.  The only odd characters allowed are "-" and "_", so it is easy to break the encryption.  I fixed it by putting in a 16 charactor password with lots of caps, numbers,-,and_.  Never repeating any charactor.  As with the last comment, you should also check for key logging.
