 I/O device error in AS/400 program
what is I/O device error in AS/400 programs and when it occurs ? pls clarify....thanks

Hi, An I/O device error can be caused by several different things, for example when trying to display a subfile when the SFLDSP, SFLDSPCTL indicators are incorrect or when writing to a printer file and causing an overflow error. If you get an I/O device error, you should check the messages in your joblog, there should be a message which explains what caused the error. Regards, Martin Gilbert.
