Internet Explorer 7: How can I stop specific file types/extensions from being downloaded

Internet Explorer, Active Directory, Block File Downloads, IE7, Web security, Browser security

Im trying to stop the downloading of executable and compressed files and cannot find a feature for giving a list of mime type or file extensions. I know file downloading can be turned off but this is a little too much security, I just need to be able to block only the files I tell it.

Current systems run Windows XP with IE7 under Windows 2003 server Active Directory network.

Anyone have any idea's ? I've checked through active directory but nothing obvious I can see

Thanks

I does not provide this sort of granular level of detail when blocking users from downloading files.
