Since a couple of years I am experiencing a peculiar problem. I use 3g Data card(USB modem ) for my Internet connection. After some time a pop up is displayed in the desk top screen written as " This USB device can perform faster if you connect it to to a high speed USB 2.0 Port". After this notification the Internet Connection is Disconnected. I tried to use the modem in all ports one by one but same problem. Yesterday I was facing an online examination and the connection disconnected this way. Please solve my problem. Last year I was using Window XP SP 2 but this year I have installed Window 7 Ultimate 32 Bit. Processor AMD ATHLON Dual Core 4200+, RAM 2 GB, Mother Board ASUSTek M2N-MX SE Plus, HDD 500 GB Seagate, Nvidia Ge Force 6150 SE n Force 430. When I use the same modem in another system there is no problem. I have formatted my system many times during last 2 years but still this problem lies.

Software/Hardware used:
Window 7 Ultimate, Asus Mother Board, AMD processor

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Try going into your Device Manager, find your object that you are having problems with, right click it and go to Properties.  Go to the Advanced Tab, here, you can check the settings on your speed and I would change the speeds to Auto Detect, don’t put any value in them.  For Link Speed and Duplex, Change that one to Auto Negotiation.  That should be enough to help you along.  If not, come back and give us a list of the settings that you have and we can see what might need to be changed.
