 internal error 2908 when updating Windows XP

I recieve an internal error 2908 when my updates are being installed. the first thing that happens is it seems like it is running something HP1Z402. Then it tries to initialize and pops up error 2908. after close that out gives an error 1935. i need help to fix this. what do i do?
