 Inter-site replication generation
Say I have 2 sites A and B.

-In site A DC1

-In site B DC2

Active directory has automatically generated NTDS KCC between DC2 and DC1. After installing DC3 in site B, there is no inter-site replication connection that is automatically generated with DC1. There is only an intra-connection that gets created automatically with DC2.

How come an inter-site replication is not automatically generated between DC1 and DC3?

What should I do to get that replication connection automatically created?

The DC2 is meant to be demoted soon. Would DC3 get its inter-site replication with DC1 at that point?

If I demote DC2 I would have site B totally isolated with no replication connection with site A. Therefore if I should create a replication connection between DC1 and DC3, would my NTDS KCC automatically generate?

Answer Wiki:
If you make DC1 the preferred site bridge server then DC3 will replicate with DC1. When you dcpromo DC2 so that it isn't a DC any more, KCC will redo the mappings automatically and replicate from DC1 to DC3.
