I was just reading Margaret Rouse's post on Intel's v2 release of their "Atom" CPU, code-named PineView. It's being hailed as the next step toward a "system on a chip" for netbooks, the "holy grail" of computing. What do you think? Is it a lot of hype, or do you think an SoC solution is on the near horizon?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I believe this is a great step forward to getting systems smaller and more mobile.

I would love to get my hands on a board with one of these in them to kick the tires. This would make a great computer for most of the world that only use their computers for email, web surfing, document creation etc. and I can’t wait to see what is coming down the pipe next!
