 Intel Matrix Storage Manager
Intel Matrix Storage Manager, RAID, Storage management, Vista, Windows Vista 64-bit
Will I loose data if I go to mirrored/RAID drives? I bought a HP e9180f with Vista 64 pre-installed on a 1T drive. I have another 1T drive from my old machine. They play nice together (no hardware/software issues) and I would like to mirror them. But the Intel tool is inconsistent about telling me if I will loose my data or not. Can I safely do this, or am I looking at a re-install of the OS??

When changing a single drive to a RAID using a hardware RAID controller you should plan on loosing all data on the drive.
