Send alert via email/SMS with Oracle 9i & Oracle Forms 6i
Oracle Forms 6i, Oracle 9i, Oracle alerts
Hi!
I am using an application ,form6 as front end and oracle9i as back end. I want to sent alerts to the superiors as automail when certain data reaches the thresh hold and sent sms using certain service provider API ,to customer when certain condition is satisfied in the database.
Kindly guide me how I can solve this using form6.Give me some sample code.

I would suggest using Nagios. It has many different plugins for monitoring Oracle databases, there are many different APIs for messaging services for notifications, and best of all, it's free.
