 Instant Messaging over LAN with Server 2003
I want to setup in internal Instant messaging system on a LAN using windows 2003 server? Is this possible?

Server 2003 alone does not have an instant messenger service, no. There is <a href="http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/communicationsserver/default.aspx?ofcresset=1">Office Communications Server</a> which will provide this service for you, but of course it does cost money. =============== Look into <a href="http://www.igniterealtime.org/projects/openfire/">Openfire</a> and the Jabber IM protocol (XMPP). It's open-source, free and multi-platform
