Hi Cedmas,

You should be stuck at point 4… cause you missed a space in the command:

wvdialconf /etc/wvdial.conf

Good luck,

Petko

Hello Cadmas, Just u did a silly mistake, not at all, u just do what I tell u : 1. # Open Terminal and login as root or su 2. # gedit /etc/wvdial.conf (give a space in between gedit and /etc/....., u can use ur favourite editor like vi or kate....) 3. # In wvdial.conf file u just put the phone no in front of Phone = and put internet in front of Username = and Password = fields (most probably phone no is #777 and user name & password is internet, internet) 4. Now save the file and restart the computer 5. Open the hardware section and configure the modem (If all r ok then u can see the name of ur Tata Indicom modem model no in the list) For better configure I'll copy the whole content of the file. Remember just change only 3 fields what r mentioned above and other fields are kept unchanged. [Dialer Defaults] Modem = /dev/modem Baud = 57600 Init1 = ATZ Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 Init3 = Area Code = Phone = #777 (here u can put ur phone no, make sure # mark is necessary then put the no) Username = internet (here u put the username) Password = internet (here u put the password) Ask Password = 0 Dial Command = ATDT Stupid Mode = 1 Compuserve = 0 Force Address = Idle Seconds = 300 DialMessage1 = DialMessage2 = ISDN = 0 Auto DNS = 1 I think it'll work 4 u also.....
